Freehold is a 2017 psychological horror film starring Mandeep Dhillon, Javier Botet and Kola Bokinni. It was written and directed by Dominic Bridges, and runs in at 80 minutes. A low budget/indie horror project, Freehold has some unique twists and uncomfortable scenes.
The story follows on the trail of a young man who is working as an estate agent. He has some dodgy attitudes to work and is low on morals, as seen throughout the production. It soon becomes apparent that, in his own flat/apartment, the young fella is unknowingly "sharing" his home with a very creepy man who gets up to disgusting things behind his back. Ultimately, the estate agent is living with someone without even knowing it, and the further into the movie you get, the more grossed out you'll be...
Freehold has a few weak spots, though on the whole it is a freaky, addictive watch and definitely worth adding to your list if you're after something different. Freehold has certainly earned its place ranking amongst the best "unknown" horrors out there.
