4. John Lithgow As Roger Ailes - Bombshell

John Lithgow has proven his acting versatility beyond any question across a career spanning over 40 years, and yet, to many he's still best remembered best for his terrific performance as alien Dick Solomon on hit sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun, for which he won three Outstanding Lead Actor Emmys.

Even though Lithgow has periodically portrayed vile antagonists in decades past, in films such as Brian De Palma's Raising Cain and Cliffhanger, the latter half of his career has largely seen him embrace comedies and broader dramatic projects.

Lithgow did receive an Emmy win for portraying the repulsive Trinity Killer in the fourth season of Dexter, however, likely aided by the fact it'd been so long since audiences had seen the actor play such a despicable human being.

And Lithgow is once again set to portray a reprehensible creep in the upcoming Oscar hopeful Bombshell, this time playing late Fox News CEO and serial sexual harasser Roger Ailes.

Under a ton of impressive makeup, Lithgow will once again shed his inherent likeability and play the part of a horrid predator, and unlike his occasional prior flirtations with the dark side of humanity, this time the monster was a real person.
