8. Batman Forever

Batman fans sure were excited to see the Caped Crusader's third major cinematic outing, especially with Val Kilmer cast to take over the mantle from Michael Keaton.

But all that hope and joy was promptly derailed in the first two minutes of Batman Forever, as Alfred (Michael Gough) asks Bats, "Can I persuade you to take a sandwich with you, sir?", to which the Dark Knight retorts, "I'll get drive thru."

On one hand, it let you know early that this was no longer Tim Burton's Batman and the goofball shtick would come thick and fast, but on the other, it's about as unbecoming a line of dialogue as you could ever give DC's flagship superhero.

Well, until he whipped out a Bat-credit card in Batman and Robin, at least. Never forget.
