4. Hurry Up Tomorrow
Despite being a thriller starring uber-popular musician The Weeknd and co-starring the likes of Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, Hurry Up Tomorrow was released with so little fanfare you could infer Lionsgate was a bit embarrassed of it.
With its vague, low-key marketing campaign and lack of reviews until release day, the writing was very much on the wall here, that Lionsgate knew they had a dud on their hands and acted accordingly.
Even with a budget of just $15 million, Hurry Up Tomorrow only managed to gross barely half that figure - an especially calamitous result considering the immense fandoms of both The Weeknd and Jenna Ortega.
As for reviews? They were absolutely diabolical, largely criticising The Weeknd's performance and dismissing the overall film as a vapid vanity project - a sad outcome for talented filmmaker Trey Edward Shults (It Comes at Night, Waves).
While the film's hypnotic style and all-around strangeness could help it become a cult classic in the future, it also wouldn't be remotely surprising if it just evaporated from the cultural consciousness and never returned.
