10 X-Men Who Should Be Introduced Into The MCU As "Villains"
6. Polaris
Considering that the show was substantially limited in which mutants it could and could not use, The Gifted provides a decent example of how to build a world with mutants without actually bringing the X-Men or Brotherhood onto the screen. The MCU should take note.
Although Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver will likely not be retconned as Magneto's children, Polaris is still up for grabs. She doesn't need to enter into the fray at the same time as dear ole dad though. In fact, she may be a perfect character that eventually reveals Magento's existence.
What if Polaris was once held captive by Hydra and experimented on alongside Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. They could have forged a strong, sibling-like bond before Polaris' (assumed) death during the experimentation process. What a meeting it would be if Scarlet Witch encountered Polaris years later as she's trying to tackle the "mutant problem"?
If Polaris comes into the MCU, it would be a huge wasted opportunity not to explore some kind of dynamic between her and Scarlet Witch. Polaris should definitely spend time under her father's wing before leaving him for the X-Men or X-Factor, but not before coming into confrontation with the X-Men or Avengers.
