Still one of the most memorable Jokers to date, Cesar Romero's Clown Prince Of Crime was, for many years, the greatest of the live action Batman villains. While there were plenty of other standouts on the campy television series, until 1989's big screen Batman came along, Romero was the face of the Joker outside of the comics. An actor, singer, dancer, and voice artist, Romero really was a jack-of-all-trades in the entertainment world. He captivated audiences in films like The Thin Man, Ocean's 11, Frontier Marshall (playing Doc Holiday) before joining the cast of Batman's television series - which got him onto TV Guide's 2013 list of Nastiest Television Villains. Romero passed away at age 86 in 1994 of bronchitis and pneumonia.
