15 Stunning Facts About 2017’s Biggest Movies
2. Reshoots Cost A Staggering $25 Million - Justice League

The harried tale of Justice League's production is worthy of a two-hour film in of itself, with it becoming abundantly clear that the film was in real trouble when Warner Bros. scrambled to organise reshoots over the summer to the tune of $25 million, around three times the going cost of blockbuster reshoots.
The over-inflated costs likely came from Joss Whedon being added to the production as a ghost director for Zack Snyder, the shoots lasting two months due to the conflicting schedules of the cast, and the infamous visual effects required to digitally remove Henry Cavill's moustache.
Typically, a blockbuster needs to gross at least three-times its budget to be financially successful, so Warner Bros. presumably saw at least $75 million of additional value in getting these reshoots done. As it turned out, the movie's going to struggle to beat Thor: The Dark World at the box office, which for DC's answer to The Avengers, is hugely embarrassing.
