Man Vs. follows Doug, a survival show host who heads into the wilderness to record his latest episode. Upon learning he's being tracked by an extra-terrestrial, Doug realises his latest video may be his last.

The premise might sound like a bare-bones version of Predator, but Man Vs. is surprisingly tense. Since the alien remains off-screen at first, there's a large chunk of time where the lead actor, Chris Diamantopolous, has nobody to react to. However, Diamantopolous is compelling in these scenes, making you believe he's really being hunted by a terrifying force.

Too bad the atmosphere goes out the window when the alien finally rears its ugly head, as the space invader has a generic design and is so overly CGI'd that you never believe it's actually there.

That said, it's not the alien's appearance that's the biggest problem, but more its janky movements. The way the alien runs, jumps, and turns is incredibly unnatural, to the point where it looks like it was programmed to move on fast-forward. Unless this creature was designed on a computer from the 1980s, there's no excuse for why it turned out this badly.
