2019's Ready or Not had one of the craziest horror movie endings of its decade. Surely the sequel, which had waited a risky seven years, wouldn't be able to one-up it? "Hold my cigarette," the sequel replied.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come was a surprisingly excellent horror sequel that proved to be worth the lengthy wait in the end and, much like the first one, it gave audiences a bevy of captivating movie moments. There are numerous blockbusters in here, such as a certain fight scene that contains the best cinematic use of Bonnie Tyler's music since Shrek 2, but it saves the very best for last. It concludes with a deliciously unhinged satanic wedding that delivers the sort of wedding-based carnage you'd expect from an episode of Game of Thrones.

It unfolds in a chamber filled with the bones of sacrificial victims and culminates in a spectacular outbreak of (literally) explosive gory violence that takes the madness of the original film and turns it up to eleven. By the end, nearly everyone present has been reduced to liquidized viscera and protagonist Grace (Samara Weaving) walks away in a blood-soaked black wedding dress like the absolute boss that she is, her equally cool sister (Kathryn Newton) in tow.

Game of Thrones, eat your heart out.
