1. Doctor Manhattan (Watchmen)
Watchmen's Doctor Manhattan is undoubtedly the most powerful heroic comic book character to appear in a live action movie. Manhattan was Doctor Jon Osterman. He was accidentally locked inside an Intrinsic Field Subtractor when it started up automatically. Jon was blown into atoms, with nothing left of his body. Within a few months, his disembodied consciousness managed to reconstruct a physical body for itself. Once he was physically reconstructed, he found that he possessed a number of amazing powers. These powers included superhuman strength (by virtue of being able to increase the size or density of his body - like when he grew giant and smashed in to Ozymandias' lair), telekinesis, teleportation (even to far planets like Mars), the ability to breathe in outer space, control over matter at a subatomic level (to the extent that being blown to atoms for a second time was only a temporary annoyance) and near-total clairvoyance, meaning he perceives the past, present and future as happening simultaneously. He is essentially an unkillable, all powerful god in this form and that's why he is at number 1 on the list of the most powerful comic book heroes in movies. So, what do you think? Agree? Disagree?
