4. Wasp
The Winsome Wasp is known for her similar traits to Ant-Man, having the ability to alter her size from tiny to ridiculously large. The Wasps story begins when her father is killed in an experiment and Dr Henry Hank Pym, who becomes Ant-Man, ends up creating a substance called Pym particles which allows someone to alter their size. Janet van Dyne asks Pym to give her that ability and he accepts, the two then become an item. When I look back at Ant-Man, the movie could of worked if Marvel incorporate Wasp into the film, which they could still do. Whilst Ant-Man shouldn't have his own film in my opinion I feel the same way about Wasp. For me the origin story is interesting but to actually have a full featured film on either Ant-Man or Wasp doesn't make sense. Marvel clearly feel that Wasp isnt ready for the big screen at all after shunning her from the first Avengers film despite being a key character in the comics. Whilst Wasp and Pym do frequently part from the group, if Marvel were really serious about make their own films they should of used them or even just referenced Wasp. Wasp is actually a very interesting character and I am 100% behind her making an appearance in a tie in film such as Avengers 2. She is a great character simply because of the amount of problems she causes including creating tension between Pym and Thor, having a fling with Hawkeye and ending up causing Scarlet Witch to have a mental breakdown thus ending The Avengers. On her own she is not a big enough character to have her own film but to put her in the mix with The Avengers would likely create great scenes.
