7 Reasons Ben Affleck Will Be The Best Movie Batman

5. Affleck's Psychology Is Truer To The Character

It's very easy to nitpick with hindsight, and I know trailers will cherry pick the best scenes to entice you into seeing the movie, but as it stands the psychology behind Affleck's Batman appears to be the closest we've seen to the comic books thus far on screen. Nolan's Batman, as great as he was always seemed focused on one task at hand at any given time; prime example being his leaving the investigating of a new, violent clown as an afterthought until later, when his hand is literally forced by the threat of his identity being revealed. Affleck's Batman appears closer to the comics in that he takes every point presented before him and covers it thoroughly before he moves on. A massive part of the claim that this cinematic Batman is much closer to his comic book counterpart stems from Bruce Wayne's line in the trailer €œIf we believe that there is even a one percent chance that he is our enemy, we have to take it as an absolute certainty€. This is a Batman who is constantly analyzing his foes, and always plotting scenarios to use to his advantage, should he be forced to engage in combat. This isn't Bale's Batman who straps on a magic knee brace and goes head on into a massively outmatched fight against an enemy. With Affleck, you get the feeling that much like the comic book incarnations of the character, he has a plan for EVERYTHING. Take the footage scattered throughout all three trailers of his heavily armoured Batsuit for the final showdown with Superman; this is a man who meticulously plots everything to the finest detail.
