8 Problems With John Wick No-One Wants To Admit

3. The Scripts Are Garbage

OK, fine, no-one goes to see the John Wick films for the writing, but the scripts are weak for the most part.

The world-building is great, but take that out of the equation and it's hard to call these movies well-written. All three of the films have flat dialogue, no real character development (for the most part) and lack charm, warmth, soul or true emotional connection of any kind.

They're just empty as hell and while many great action films are, all things considered, pretty soulless in some ways, they will usually counter-balance that by being charming and likeable. Unfortunately, likeability is non-existent in John Wick. It's just death scene after death scene after death scene.
