Age Of Ultron: 10 Concerns You Should Have About The Avengers Sequel
3. More Generic Drone Villains
Nothing good ever comes of fodder in movies - especially not when you're looking for a real threat to be presented to a particular person or group. The Avengers were never in danger when it came to taking on the generic Chitauri flunkies - even Hawkeye and Black Widow were taking hordes of them out with ease, so how were we expected to believe they were a threat to Hulk and Thor? Despite this obvious concern, it would seem that Marvel Studios are doing it again with Ultron's drones. There's never going to be a scene, for example, where a nameless drone does any damage to Hulk or Thor, so every time guys like that are fighting against them we know they are going to come out unscathed. There is no "edge of your seat" element, which adds so much to any cinematic experience. Therefore, the scenes with the drones will add nothing to the movie. They may look great, but the army of robots will offer nothing in terms of a threat and that just makes them seem pointless before we even see the movie.
