Avengers: Endgame - How Every Main Character Will Be Totally Different

Hawkeye hasn't been seen since he broke out of the Raft at the end of Civil War, with his only involvement in Infinity War being the mention he got concerning his choice to be placed under house arrest for the sake of his family.

As Age Of Ultron confirmed, his family is everything to him - and crucially, it was enough to turn him away from his Avengers duties.

Now

Unfortunately, it looks like Hawkeye - and Clint Barton's family - are no more. In the wake of the Decimation, Hawkeye has become Ronin, a darker iteration still committed to heroic work by the look of it, but one more interested in close combat than the ranged fighting of his bow and arrows.

As the first trailer for Endgame teased, he has lost everything and wears his scars close to the surface. He is apparently isolated from the Avengers, working in some other capacity (still in the service of what is right) and he looks completely destroyed by what the Decimation did to the world. By the look of it, he will be the character to undergo the biggest change into Endgame.
