4. The Cavill-Adams Chemistry

It's hard to guess why Amy Adams wasn't perfect for Lois Lane the previous two times she auditioned for it (Superman: Flyby and Superman Returns,) but one can only assume that the electricity she shares with Henry Cavill worked in her favour when casting her. It's a relationship that seems to click from the very beginning; where you'd expect to feel scared in the presence of a stranger telling you "this will hurt", there seems to be a flicker in the eyes of the pair of them, as Lois trusts Clark completely. This pairing only flourishes with further scenes, as the sequence where she almost calls him "Superman" feels not so much like an interrogation room, but a first date: when Lois claims she's going on-board the spaceship with her mysterious friend, it's almost completely natural that she should. As the romance will no doubt grow in the next film, it certainly means there's more at stake for Superman while protecting the world. It will be exciting to see where this chemistry leads the pair, whether we'll see any clashes, and how exactly Lois Lane will cope with a superhero boyfriend.
