Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2: 6 Things We Learned From EW's New Concept Art

As Chris Pratt revealed in a shot posted on his Instagram feed, Star Lord has had an upgrade to his wardrobe between the films.

His general costume when he's not wearing the helmet is about the same as it was, though the jacket has gone through a slight redesign on the breast and the collar, but the most notable new addition is the chest armour piece that matches his helmet. The detail is shown off quite nicely in EW's concept art.

This of course represents a deviation from his traditional comics-based design, and perhaps suggests that necessity (more threat?) is the mother of invention.

He definitely shouldn't be flying without his helmet, though. But then when you've got Chris Pratt to show off, you show him off.
