MCU: 14 Things You Learn Rewatching The Avengers

10. The German Sequence Is Amazing

Loki's German heist and attempt to subjogate the guests at the museum event is a truly great moment. It's charitably written for Tom Hiddleston, who takes great relish in his performance.

And then the one old man who stands up to him - clearly meant to be a survivor of the second world war and Hitler's reign of terror - offers a potted look at Captain America's entire MCU arc.

Him standing defiantly and saying "There are always men like you" is a great touch, as it matches precisely Cap's own spirit. Iron Man's entrance is a lot more rock and roll, inevitably, but it's still a great fan-baiting moment.
