One Mind Blowing Secret From Every MCU Movie
11. Andrew Garfield's Redemption - Spider-Man: No Way Home
The impact of getting the right actor in a role can simply never be understated. Passion and love can elevate not only a character, but an entire franchise around them, something that can be seen by what a leader Tom Holland has turned into while working on his soon-to-be four solo Spider-Man pictures.
Another Peter Parker that clearly cared about his role and the responsibility that came with it was Andrew Garfield. The Amazing Spider-Man films themselves may have underwhelmed, but Garfield himself was outstanding, and did the impossible by stealing the show in the live-action Spider-Verse movie that was No Way Home.
Possibly one of the best examples of the actor truly understanding his character, and wanting to complete his arc, is that it was he who suggested Peter 3 save MJ (Zendaya) during the battle at the Statue of Liberty.
Of course, this Peter wasn't able to save Gwen Stacey (Emma Stone) in his own universe, but having him achieve some form of redemption by saving MJ from a similar fate was one of the best aspects and certainly most emotional beats of the entire story, and to say it came from Garfield himself is amazing.
