Predicting Summer 2016's Highest Grossing Movies

8. The Secret Life Of Pets

Box Office Prediction: $650 million Why It'll Be A Hit: The trailers look surprisingly hilarious so far, but most importantly, this is from the minds behind the Despicable Me franchise, which achieved insane success with Minions' $1.159 box office haul last summer. The marketing is going to milk the hell out of the Minions association, and little kids love anthropomorphic animals, plus it actually looks like it has some substantial gags for the adults, so what's not to like? Why It Could Disappoint: Potentially bad reviews could take a chunk out of the box office (though probably won't), but most troubling is that Ice Age: Collision Course hits cinemas just two weeks later, and could easy kill its momentum stone dead.
