Ranking June 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

Box Office: Even with a sensibly small $10 million budget, the indie drama from Jurassic World's Colin Trevorrow hasn't even clawed half its price tag back yet. It'll probably break even thanks to home video sales, but it's not exactly the sleeper hit Focus Features was hoping for, especially from the director of Star Wars Episode IX.

Verdict: If you want to be polite, you might call The Book of Henry "well-intended", for while there's certainly a story here worth telling, Gregg Hurwitz's script goes off the tonal deep end with a series of manipulative and ridiculous twists which quickly cave the movie in.

Considering many expected this to be a summer hit and possibly even an awards contender, it's flabbergasting that Trevorrow got everything so, so wrong. Poor Naomi Watts.
