Scream 7: 10 Things We Want To See
3. The Killer Survives
Every single Scream movie has dealt the exact same fate to the Ghostface killers - one way or another, they all end up dead by the end of the film.
And while that's generally a satisfying, crowd-pleasing way to close things off, wouldn't it be fun to finally deviate from that formula?
Why not end Scream 7 with the killer being caught and arrested instead or, if the filmmakers want to get truly daring, escaping and living to kill another day?
Obviously if Ghostface escapes it'd imply a cliffhanger ending for a potential eighth film, which might divide some fans, but it feels like such a foregone conclusion that Ghostface is vanquished in every movie that having one of them escape would make for a winning rug-pull.
This feels like it'd work especially well with the Cult of Ghostface concept, given how difficult it would be for the heroes to keep track of all the different killers in their midst - particularly in a city as bustling as New York.
