4. Does Shang-Chi Have Powers?

Not all heroes have to have powers to be classed as super.

In fact, the MCU is built around heroes that are without abilities, and have still managed to save the world. Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton and Scott Lang have all fought side by side with demigods and super soldiers, and not looked out of place for a moment.

Shang-Chi is similar in this regard in the comics at least, as he has no powers or abilities outside the expertise in martial arts he has trained himself to have. Judging by the trailer however, this may not be the case for the MCU version of the character.

Marvel Studios have taken artistic license in regards to Shang-Chi's backstory and family, so why not his abilities? The trailers see him blasted with a rush of water, and while he doesn't speed up, the water slows down for him to touch and admire.

He is not alone when this happens, so there is every chance that the power is coming from someone else, but it almost felt that how the scene was portrayed seemed to suggest that it was he who was manipulating the water.
