Spectre: 23 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See

17. Goldfinger's Rolls Royce

Everything associated with Oberhauser's secret base in the Moroccan desert is like a spoof of a Bond film. It looks like it was painted by David Hockney, it has stupid humour to its ludicrousness (the sight of the sprinklers on the lawns is incredibly daft) and everything has that tangibly clinical edge you expect from SPECTRE bases. And how better to be transported there than by an Easter Egg on wheels? When Bond and Madeleine are waiting at the ridiculous train station, a Rolls Royce Phantom appears, complete with chauffeur to ferry them to their foe's base (who OF COURSE, is expecting them). The car might not be the same colour, but it's the same model as used by Auric Goldfinger and driven by Oddjob.
