Spider-Man: Homecoming - 10 Major Ways Spidey Will Be Different
8. His Identity Isn't A Total Secret
In Previous Films
Though several people would come to know that Peter Parker is Spider-Man in the sequels to both Raimi and Webb's films, him holding on to his secret was a hugely important part of both series' narratives.
Aside from Aunt May, the only people who knew either found out through romantic entanglement or discovered it as part of their role as a villain to use against him. There are no friends party to his secret.
In Homecoming
From almost the outset, it seems that Peter's friend Ned will know that he is Spider-Man (hopefully without that meaning he'll be turned into a target by Spidey's enemies). That knowledge changes the dynamic entirely.
And then of course, there's the fact that Tony Stark and Happy Hogan both also know who Parker is at least.
