Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Every Deleted Scene Ranked From Worst To Best

9. Rose & Finn Go To Where They Belong

This is an incredibly tiny moment, but nonetheless, its inclusion would have only dragged down the frenetic pace of the surrounding sequence.

The Last Jedi is a very exhilarating movie, considering it's essentially one long chase leading to a climactic, explosive showdown between the First Order and the Resistance. So, it really helps when the movie just gets to the point - a mantra that this small moment actively works against.

Finn and Rose have defeated Phasma, and now they're jetting off to join their friends. Boom. Done. That's what happens, and that's all we need to know. Shoving this scene in the middle of that causes it to sag just a bit too much, and ultimately, it didn't belong anywhere.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show.
