Sylvester Stallone's 15 Biggest Movies - Ranked Worst To Best
9. Daylight (1996)
The disaster movie made something of a comeback in the late 90s, with two back-to-back volcano (Volcano and Dante's Peak) and asteroid movies (Deep Impact and Armageddon). As such, Stallone was slightly ahead of the curve with Daylight (although Twister had come earlier that year). Set in a tunnel under the Hudson river which threatens to collapse on the people trapped inside, Stallone plays Kit Latura, a retired Emergency Medical Services chief forced to get back in the game to save the day. It's the kind of role he could do in his sleep by this point, and the film certainly delivers on FX-driven spectacle. It may come as a surprise to see Daylight listed among Stallone's biggest hits, as it was deemed a flop on release in the US with a final take of barely $33 million. However, greater success internationally saw it rake in $159.2 million overall, making it the star's 13th biggest success.
