15. Dr Maru's Story

Don't expect a great deal of backstory to come for Dr Maru - widely expected to be otherwise known as Dr Poison in the film - because we don't be seeing much of her mystery peeled back.

Instead, the film will focus on her driving motivation: which is pain. She's gone through a lot of pain in her past - hence her startling face mask - and she is singularly motivated to make others feel similar levels of pain to prove they aren't as strong as her.

Every good film needs a sadist, and it looks like she's the one for Wonder Woman.
