7. Gal Gadot Proves The Doubters Wrong

Wonder Woman Slavery
Warner Bros.

Even though Gal Gadot was arguably the best thing about Batman v Superman, stealing the show with a glorified extended cameo is very different to shouldering an entire movie, especially considering that her thick accent caused her to garble some of her lines in BvS, and that could end up decidedly less tolerable in a two-plus-hour movie.

Thankfully, the doubters and haters have been proved thoroughly wrong here. Yes, Gadot's line readings aren't always 100%, but for the most part she gives a charismatic, charming performance, and most importantly is thoroughly convincing as a physical force-of-nature.

Plus, she's a great role model for young women everywhere, and that's absolutely something worth celebrating.
