10 Controversial Gaming Opinions You Should Keep To Yourself

4. No Man's Sky Can Be Enjoyable

Hello Games

No Man's Sky brought the gaming community together. By giving us all a collective punching bag, we set aside our differences and joined together to bash and criticise a developer that over-promised and disappointed us. However, the game was alright.

The expectations we had were inflated by Sean Murray, meaning that we could only see the game compared to what we were promised. And that left it feeling bland and empty. Had we not had those expectations, it is likely that the game would have been seen in a favourable light. It's randomly generated worlds were quite spectacular. It was just the fact that we expected so much more.

It's an enjoyable experience for the most part. Exploring planets and gathering resources is a fun time-kill. The first few hours of the game are extraordinary. Had we not expected so much, the rest of the game would have been just as awe-inspiring. But as it is, it's not the worst game. It's a surprisingly pleasant game.

I like video games, writing and writing about video games. Expect sarcasm and the dry wit of a Brit. And the occasional rant of a unhappy Scot. You know... the usual.
