10 Exceptional Moments In Otherwise Disappointing Video Games

8. Assaulting The Rebel Scum On Hoth - Star Wars Battlefront (2015)

Playing more like 'Battlefield in space' rather than Battlefront, you have no idea how much I - and thousands of fans - wanted this game to succeed.

Sadly, the game launched with no single player, a handful of online maps and game modes, a hero system that was exploitable by the smarter players and very little content that wasn’t able to be played in the free to play Beta. Somewhat of a disappointment.

But... then you stepped out onto Hoth, and saw a flurry of laser fire dance around the 'rebel scum', the ships up above and the slow mechanical thud of the AT-AT’s. Assaulting the rebel generator with the gloriously detailed graphics and the vast horde of 20 v 20 multiplayer, it felt amazing.

I like video games, writing and writing about video games. Expect sarcasm and the dry wit of a Brit. And the occasional rant of a unhappy Scot. You know... the usual.
