10 Franchises We Need To See Given The Lego Game Treatment

1. James Bond

James Bond is probably the biggest movie franchise yet to be rebuilt in Lego form. The most recent Bond film, Skyfall has given the franchise a breath of fresh air whilst also returning the series to its more lighthearted beginnings. This naturally suits TT Games approach to hilariously twisting and spoofing of its source material. Throughout the last fifty two years of Bond there are countless scenes we would love to see interpreted from a Lego perspective; the laser sequence from Goldfinger could have Bond hold up a white flag in surrender. Similarly the ski jump from The Spy Who Loved Me could result in Bond forgetting to pack his parachute. Even the films' title sequences offers so many opportunities for the much loved Lego slapstick humour. Such scenarios are just a few that springs to mind, so TT Games could surely have a lot of fun with the franchise. The Bond franchise contains a simply huge history of iconic characters and villains, which would give such a game a plethora of unique unlockable and playable avatars. Similarly Bond's taste for gadgets could be included in the game in a similar way to how in the original Lego Batman, the heroes could pickup different gadgets and suits, granting them unique abilities. These could then be used to solve a variety of puzzles and platforming sections, giving the gameplay more variety. Naturally if a Bond game has gadgets it also must have fast cars. Vehicle based sections such as the tank sequence from GoldenEye could be a lot of fun and a nice way to break up the traditional platforming action. The developer also has had prior experience with action-based franchises such their work on the Indiana Jones saga. As you can see in the image above, a James Bond Minifigure walking down the sights of a gun and then turning and shooting at the camera as used in the iconic openings of all Bond films, is something truly brilliant in Lego form. So that was our list, but more importantly what franchise would YOU like to see made into a Lego video game? Leave a comment below....
