10 Hotly-Anticipated Video Games That Will Disappoint You In 2016

1. Horizon: Zero Dawn

What will go wrong: The release date will slip into 2017. For whatever reason, the latest console hardware just isn't playing ball. Literally, almost every high-profile game has been delayed in the run-up to release across the last two years, with the latest casualty being Scalebound moving into 2017 and Hitman's soft reboot going episodic, just so Square Enix have something to push out the door in March. Back to Horizon, and Sony quite simply need a high-profile triple-A first-party game in their lineup for 2016. Honestly, their release schedule is a barren wasteland, with only Uncharted filling in any gaps, and that was delayed from 2015, too. Now, what do you get when publisher demands meet developer requirements? Watch Dogs. Mass Effect 3. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5. Exactly. It's never good. Zero Dawn remains the most promising thing around... so why haven't we seen more of it? In the modern game climate, as a game enters the year of its release, it really should be in a state that can be shown off in abundance. As all we're seeing is the same robo-dino showdown as the midpoint last year, Guerilla Games clearly need more time to iron everything out than just a few months - but will they get it? Who knows. I'm calling it now - Horizon: Zero Dawn won't release until 2017. What games do you have a sinking feeling about from what you've seen? Let us know in the comments!
