10 Loveable Side Characters Who Deserve Their Own Video Games
3. Deathstroke (Batman: Arkham Origins)
Given his villainous ways in Arkham Origins, it seems a weird choice to place Deathstroke on this list (the fact he's also a comic book character might dissuade you too) but Arkham Origins showed that Deathstroke and Batman aren't worlds apart when it comes to moves and skill sets. Deathstroke has the same superhuman reflexes as Bruce Wayne and has a variety of equipment and weaponry at his disposal, giving him a far wider range of gameplay mechanics that could be implemented in a game based around him. It would also allow for the Arkham series to spread its roots out, exploring other areas of the DC Universe instead of having to be contained in Batman's Gotham; Deathstroke goes where the money is, after all. It seems likely too, with an end credit scene showing Deathstroke in jail being offered a way out via the Suicide Squad, a black-ops unit made up of incarcerated villains looking to lower their sentences. With Deathstroke being the focus of this end credit scene, it's likely he'll take the playable helm for a Suicide Squad game and we'd welcome it. He may lack the noble instincts of Bruce Wayne but he'd make up for it with sheer brute force; a Deathstroke game using more advanced versions of the Arkham gameplay mechanics would be an exhilarating experience.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
