10 Phenomenal PS4 & Xbox One Games Nobody Is Playing
8. Titanfall 2
I recently gave Titanfall 2 the nod as my nomination for 'Best Action' in the upcoming Game Awards 2016 - its potent mix of physics-based, momentum-heavy shooting being a figurative and literal blast across all fronts.
Thing is, right now it's dying thanks to EA putting it out in between Battlefield and COD: Infinite Warfare, and as the original didn't light the world on fire either, it's up to the likes of myself - and anyone else who's played T2 - to tell everyone else how truly stellar a shooter it is.
Because firstly, the game's campaign contains two of the most innovative and genuinely impressive levels in FPS history, and second, when you're blasting foes, wall running, grapple hook'ing your way between buildings and locking fists with other towering mechs - there's nothing anywhere near as satisfying as its multiplayer.
The pure, proficient and confident gameplay of Titanfall 2 is leagues ahead of the competition this year in almost every respect, and whilst Overwatch, DOOM, COD and Battlefield have the bigger reputations, it connotes the age-old phrase in regards to this underrated shooter:
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.
