10 Spider-Man Comic Arcs That Would Make Incredible Video Games

2. The Superior Spider-Man

While I'm certainly not enough of an egotist to think any of you would attribute me to this, there are certainly avid WhatCulture readers among you that will remember a feature about 5 reasons why The Superior Spider-Man would make a great video game. While I certainly don't want to unnecessarily retread old ground, there's no denying that the major point still stands. For those of you who don't know, The Superior Spider-Man is the story of how Otto Octavius finally achieved a victory over Peter Parker by taking control of his body and life while seemingly leaving Peter to die in the decrepit corpse of Doc Ock. He sets about proving himself to be a far more useful and reliable hero to Peter's, but is ultimately confronted by the remaining pieces of Parker's consciousness determined to overthrow Otto's violent ways and reclaim his life. Playing as Otto's "hero" would give players a freedom that has never existed in a Spider-Man game before, as he holds none of the self-imposed restrictions that Peter did. As detailed in the link above, highlights for this could include a morality system like those in your favourite RPGs, and the use of a detailed story easily able to hold a 40 hour single player campaign. You know it makes sense, you dolts!
