10 Times Video Game Heroes Messed With Time Travel

7. Singularity

Life Is Strange
Raven Software

Singularity is an often overlooked first-person shooter sees you exploring an abandoned Cold War-era base on an abandoned island, using time in a whole bunch of different and incredibly powerful ways.

One of the most common things you can do with time here is to rebuild or degrade objects in the environment. So if a room has crumbled walls and enemies are shooting at you, you can use time to restore them to their original state and hide from the bullets.

It's not just stationary objects, either. You can use your time warping powers to rapidly age enemies into skeletal husks, or rewind them to make them burst.

Singularity is very much a cautionary tale: how much power is too much power? Over time, the device used throughout the game can begin to affect much larger objects.

While you may only be able to rebuild short walls at first, later you can rebuild bridges or raise shipwrecks from the ocean depths.
