10 Times Video Game Heroes Messed With Time Travel

6. Day Of The Tentacle

Life Is Strange
LucasArts

Day Of The Tentacle begins with an accident as three teenagers are flung through time. While Bernard appears where he was meant to be: yesterday, Hoagie winds up in the past during the signing of the American constitution, and Laverne becomes stranded in the future where she is captured by highly evolved tentacles.

It may have the trappings of a simple point and click adventure, but the key to all of their time travel shenanigans is the "Chrono-John". These rather high-tech portaloos have the ability to link up the three time zones so that you can transport items through time.

For example, there comes a point where Laverne must create a disguise to freely move around in the future. To do this, you must send a tentacle chart to Hoagie in colonial times to give to a seamstress to make the flag. This flag will appear in the tentacle future, but it requires a crank from Bernard in the present to be sent through the Chrono-John for Laverne to finally get the disguise.

You may need a walkthrough to understand the time travelling logic behind these puzzles, but at least you'll get a good laugh or two out of it.
