10 Times Video Games Knew What You Were Thinking (And Rewarded It)

Baldur's Gate 3 is so huge and so complex a game that this entry could have contained any number of the weird, offbeat things it lets you do. The way this game perfectly mimics the "forced to indulge the player's every intrusive thought" energy of a tabletop RPG is nothing short of hilarious. But your scribe is still very immature at heart, and there's nothing more entertaining than just shoving someone to their death.

On your hotbar, you will notice a number of bonus actions like jump and shove and whatnot. These are extra actions you can do on that character's turn, not beholden to that character's action points. So picture this: you're fighting a guy, and the guy's back is to a cliff. You've already used your attacks for that turn, but you're close enough to him to enact one of your bonus actions.

And then you get the intrusive thoughts...

Well, indulge away, my friend, because sure enough, this game obeys the laws of gravity. If you shove any character, in or out of combat, off of a high enough place, they will indeed die upon landing.
