6. $4 Million In Kickstarter Money For A Mediocre Game - Mighty No. 9

One might think it a stretch to put this game on the list, but after all the hype and build up surrounding it - especially after the gaming public provided it 4 million in Kickstarter money from their own pockets, I feel it's safe to label Mighty No. 9's final product as a huge ripoff.

It's not even the worst game ever made, but it IS nothing like the promotional footage people were first shown years back. It is notably worse in terms of texture detail and animation, moving stiff as a board and looking like something off of the PS2 well into the life of the PS4.

If the game were made with Comcept's own money instead of siphoning money off of gamers' nostalgia, it wouldn't be on this list, instead forgotten as a mediocre little footnote like it probably deserves. But, it DID take our money and make us wait two years before a proper trailer, and then handed a mediocre nothing of a game to show for it.

At least Sega had the decency to make the mediocre Sonic Forces from their OWN money.
