5. Pay For Songs You Can Only Play A Few Times - Guitar Hero Live

Remember when Guitar Hero was a thing? Remember when Guitar Hero was THE ONLY thing? Younger readers among us might not remember this, it being about a decade ago, but for a hot minute there, the biggest gaming franchise on the face of the earth was a game where you use plastic instruments to karaoke your favorite songs.

Recently Guitar Hero tried to come back with Guitar Hero Live. It didn't work out. At all.

This is for many reasons, one of the biggest by far was the fact that the game didn't have nearly as many songs compared to previous entries, instead locking around 200 songs behind a paywall.

But hey, at least when you buy them, you can replay them as many times as you want, right? Well that might have been the case, but this is Activision, please remember. So of course, they made it so that you can only play each song you purchase 10 times before you had to pay to be able to play it again.

Understandably, this pissed players off something fierce, and the game bombed hard. Nice going, Activision.
