10 Tiny Details Video Games ALWAYS Get Wrong

6. Characters Never Take Physical Injuries

If you play video games, then - unless you have unnaturally gifted abilities - you've seen your characters die time after time again in any manner of gruesome ways. And, in order for these brave heroes to meet their end, they would've taken several blows from enemies.

If we looked past the unrealistic video game logic that would have us believe bullets and explosions can simply be walked-off, there's still a glaring inconsistency with reality to be found here.

Video game characters don't take physical injuries.

Although the screen may go red with blood for a few moments after taking a few too many bullets to the head, bullets never leave tell-tale bullet wounds in avatars, leaving both themselves and their clothes unmarked.

The same is true for bladed weapons. In the Assassin's Creed games, the titular assassins can be knocked about with all sorts of pointy weaponry without getting a single scratch - never mind losing a limb.

Aside from the manpower it would take to render individual injuries, constantly having to patch up wounds after gunfights - or the possibility of permanently losing limbs - would likely suck a lot of the enjoyment out of the combat in games.
