10 Video Game Fights Developers Didn’t Want You To Win

6. Demyx - Kingdom Hearts 2

For a game that features Disney characters in all their adorable glory, Kingdom Hearts can be surprisingly difficult at times.

This is especially true for its boss fights, which can go from hilariously easy to Matrix-style complicated at the tip of a hat. Of all of these fights, the most surprisingly irritating is the fight you have against Demyx. As a relaxed, happy-go-lucky musician, you likely don't expect the guy to put up approximately as much of a fight as Winnie the Pooh did earlier. And for the most part, Demyx is pretty easy to fight.

Until he breaks out his water doubles, that is. Because when this happens, a timer appears. A very, very small timer. And if you haven't taken out every single one of these clones within the allotted time, you automatically lose the fight then and there.

This challenge increases every time he summons them, eventually leading to the point where you have to kill 10 clones in 10 seconds, or otherwise do the entire fight all over again.

This proved so troublesome for players that the remake would extend this timer to 15 seconds, proving for once and for all that it was more difficult than the developers had actually planned to make it.
