10 Video Game Fights Developers Didn’t Want You To Win

4. The Capra Demon - Dark Souls

Yiazmat Final Fantasy
From Software

In a series filled with goliath dragons, ancient monsters, and a spider that shoots laser beams, somehow none of these entities manage to be the player's biggest obstacle.

No, the most infamously painful obstacle in the entire three game collection manages to be some guy and his two dogs. Admittedly, because you fight all three in a narrow corridor, it'd be hard enough just fighting the dogs and their unpredictable move-set.

But add in the Capra Demon itself and things get downright painful. The range on ol' Cap is not to be underestimated, and he has an attack that can kill you in one hit. Oh, and said attack can't be blocked - but you will always try to, even hours and hours after you realised you can't.

And if you don't take out the dogs first you won't even have to worry about the Capra Demon's attacks, because you will be attack-stunned to death within literal seconds by the trio anyways.

While Ornstein and Smough are the bosses most likely to make you quit the game, you'd still likely leave the the impression that the Capra Demon was somehow more unfair.
