10 Video Games That Deserve A Remake

5. Dino Crisis

final fantasy IX 9
Capcom

Capcom’s “other” horror game on the PlayStation was often more action-oriented than stablemate Resident Evil, but this helped it to establish an identity other than just “Resi with dinosaurs”.

A plot encompassing island labs, time travel and dinosaurs running amok was never designed to be taken seriously, but the series was a success due to one undeniable fact: dinosaurs are cool.

Tasked with investigating a mysterious island lab, main character Regina, together with the other members of her Special Forces team, discover a mad scientist thought to be dead, who has apparently been spending his time constructing a device capable of bringing dinosaurs through time into the present day, planning to use them as weapons. All of this is blatantly just an excuse to run around (and away from) dinosaurs, and it is magnificent in its ridiculousness.

Considering the action focus taken by recent Resident Evil titles, as well as that series’ return to survival horror, Capcom’s action leanings could easily be accommodated by a revival of Dino Crisis, allowing both franchises to co-exist once more.

Speaking of survival horror…
