10 Ways Far Cry 5 Will Save The Franchise

8. There's A Whole Animal Ecosystem

Animals have always been a staple of the Far Cry franchise. Even back in the early days, the developers were striving to create a living, breathing ecosystem based on the animal kingdom. While they've come close to realising that dream in the past, it seems as though they've finally nailed it with the latest game.

Not only are there plenty of animals to be found in the wilderness of Hope County, but each one has its own set of day-to-day activities they get up to if you don't interfere with (or, you know, murder) them. Consequently, the wildlife is more dynamic than ever, with animals hunting each other and working on a hierarchical system that plays out naturally as you travel through the world.

Sure, these animals still have a huge role in the gameplay itself, with hunting dangerous predators for resources once again returning alongside the ability to recruit and train them for your dastardly deeds, but rather than simply being lifeless gameplay opportunities like before, they're now part of a truly dynamic system that brings the wilderness to life.
