14 Most Anticipated Video Game Sequels Of 2017 - Ranked
7. Batman: Arkham Insurgency
Despite the very idea of another Arkham game being a mostly positive prospect (anything can end the franchise better than Arkham Knight's "Now Bruce is dead/actually he's the Scarecrow!" finale), very little has let slip from Warner Bros. HQ as to its existence.
Thankfully, the more eagle-eyed among us have archived the most tantalising details, resulting in quite a clear picture of what the next title will be.
First up it's a prequel, set between Arkham Origins and Asylum. We're of course playing as Batman, but far more dual-playable sequences alongside Dick Grayson's Robin are expected, alongside a story where the duo are besieged by the Court of Owls (an illuminati-esque warrior cult) AND a breakout of inmates from Arkham and Blackgate prison.
That's quite a bit to be getting on with. Expect the return of the Batmobile, the ditching of its tank sections, a more refined hand-to-hand combat model and a TON of villains to round up.
In fact, just read this.
