Tokyo RPG Factory's follow-up to their much-loved JRPG I Am Setsuna is a wholly underwhelming affair, feeling like a warmed-over, decades-old entry into the genre ultimately to its detriment.

The new systems feels finicky and clumsy for the most part, the characters and narrative are totally forgettable, and it feels like a bit of a slog even at just 20-ish hours in length.

Unless you're a JRPG mega-fan, this one can be skipped without missing anything worthwhile. It's an homage to a classic style that feels disappointing calculated and cynical, lacking the heart and soul of the studio's previous outing.
