14 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2018 (So Far)

3. Jurassic World Evolution

Hands up everyone who'd be interested in a Jurassic World park management sim. Seriously, we're not being sarcastic: that's an awesome hook for a licensed video game, albeit one that in reality coasts too eagerly on the series' iconography (much like the recent movies) and proves itself about as deep as a puddle.

There is an undeniable appeal in running your own dino-park and letting the genetically engineered residents run riot, but the game does a painful job of explaining its systems to the player, perhaps in order to disguise just how little variety there actually is on offer.

At least Jeff Goldblum's vocal work provides some light amusement and it's fitfully enjoyable for hardcore Jurassic Park fans, but it eventually amounts to precious little.
