15 Worst Video Game Levels Of The 2000s

2. Any And All Sewer Levels

What is it about designers that makes them think we gamers want to traipse around endless sewer tunnels and stinky vent shafts? Not even Bane in The Dark Knight Rises could make a sewer hideout look appealing, and in their various game iterations it's worse, forcing us to hop, skip, jump and swing through the same grey n' green sewage-lined tunnels every time. Again with the entries on this list that cover multiple games, the 2000s saw something of a trend spring out of the platformers of the 90s, with everyone from Oblivion to Enter The Matrix plunging you into the poop-filled depths at some point. 2015's The Order: 1886 proved that drab landscapes haven't completely gone away, but with Bethesda's excellent work in revamping their wasteland in Fallout 4, perhaps there's hope for everyone to follow suit.
